no worries. i have no experience at all when i were there last time. people are friendly and they are keen to help even they can speak very limit English. the most important thing is you need you map ready and search where you want to go.

You can get alot of the information you want in english, Except sometimes the answers are insincere or a joke from a user.

I personally want to know about a trip to Japan from a chinese person. as our perspectives are different.

It is the point. I understand that you would like to achieve some useful info from sincere Chinese here.  However, you cannot expect many bilingual members who have the travel experience to Japan, are available in this forum. If you really want to go deep into the domestic lives of Japanese, I suggest you to hire a personal tourist guide, who is an English speaker, for a few days during your trip there. Most of the travel agencies in HK provide this service. I did the arrangement last time when went to Cuba some years ago.
